Nickel-silver [Réf : CuNiZn ]

Nickel-silver is a copper-nickel-zinc base alloy (50-67% copper,10-25% nickel, and 12-26% zinc. It has got a white, silvery aspect due to the nickel it contains.  It is a hard, albeit elastic alloy, used in the manufacturing of electronic springs, zips or cutlery.

- This alloy, resistant to corrosion, and with low electrical conductivity, has a high machinability and weldability, and is mainly used for cold-working.

- Nickel-silver is generally harder, but slightly more elastic than silver. Although silver has a better resonance, which guarantees better flute sounds, nickel-silver is cheaper and suitable, too.

We can provide nickel-silver in different shapes :

In different hardnesses :

  • Annealed
  • Hard-tempered (H11, H12, H13, H14, H15)
